Bitumen Primer

Cromar Bitumen Primer is a  low-viscosity bitumen primer for use on porous surfaces before any remedial roof treatment, including pour and roll and torch-on felt applications.

This high-penetration formula is a cold-applied bituminous solution that can seal in any porous space before painting or adding adhesive.

It can seal porous substrates and waterproof them by making it easier for adhesion to stick.

This versatile formula can be used on various materials, including lightweight concrete screeds, mild steel, concrete, asbestos cement, lead, slate and zinc.

When the primer dries, it is black to suit the appearance of the roofing materials.

Coverage:

• Metal surfaces: 6-12m²/ltr
• Concrete: 6-8m²/ltr
• Lightweight concrete screeds and asbestos cement: 3.5-5m²/ltr

Application:

• Should be applied by brush, ensuring an even coat with no pooling, or applied evenly by airless spray

Sizes available: 2.5L and 5L
