Our 250mm x 125mm sleepers are ungraded, treated, sawn softwood

250mm x 125mm sleepers are ideal for making more robust planters, retaining soil on banking or where there is a lot of ground to hold back.

We offer a bespoke cutting service at an additional charge.

Sizes available: 2.4m x 250mm  x 125mm

They are pressure treated for longevity.

However, we advise using raised beds or retaining walls to fully line the inside. This will prevent wet soil from sitting against the wood, making them rot more quickly.

Also, treat any cut ends and treat them annually to extend your sleeper’s life.

Treated sawn softwood (Ungraded Sawn Carcassing) is unsuitable for structural purposes.
